These awesome images were taken immediately after Hurricane Isabel made landfall on the Outer Banks NC, September 18, 2003. After a few weeks of major cleanup, life has returned to normal for residents of Dare County. Communities really come together in times like these, this was more than evident by the overwhelming response of neighbors and strangers alike.
