 Vacationing on the Outer Banks since a young boy, Jon was born and raised in Midlothian, Virginia. He moved to the Outer Banks in 1987. Presently a Licensed Broker with 15 years of Outer Banks Resort Real Estate Experience, Jon resides in Martin's Point with his wife, Kristen, Son Kyle and Daughter Karsen.
Jon's experiences range from Property Management to Vice President of Sales for a major Coldwell Banker Franchise for which he helped establish. New to the RE/MAX family, he was the former Top Producer for Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty. While at Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty he continued to be in the President's Elite Circle which consists of the Top 6% of all 74 thousand plus Coldwell Banker Agents in the United States.
The Outer Banks has always been Jon's place to enjoy life. A local musician, weekly fisherman, a longboard surfer, and a not so good golfer, Jon continues to enjoy all aspects of Outer Banks living to its fullest. Dedicated to providing a chance for the pre schoolers of Dare County, Jon is the Founder and President of the Kids In Dare Support Organization. The K.I.D.S. is a non-profit group of friends, family and business associates who provide a little bit of hope for the unfortunate kids in our community.

 After graduating from West Virginia University, Melanie moved to the Outer Banks in 1993. Prior to becoming a Broker/Associate for RE/MAX, she owned and operated a group of retail stores that spanned the length of the Outer Banks from Corolla to Avon so she knows the Outer Banks real estate market from top to bottom!
As a buyer for her stores she traveled to many exotic locations but always returned to her favorite, the Outer Banks, where she has made her home. As a result of her years spent buying and selling for her stores, she brings a unique perspective to real estate transactions where customer service and satisfaction are always uppermost in her mind.
Real estate was a natural choice for Melanie and she transitioned from her retail business into new home sales and lot/construction packages for The Ambrosia Group in Corolla. After the project was sold out, she joined Jon Beckner's team at RE/MAX where she is presently a Broker/Associate. Not only is Melanie selling real estate on the Outer Banks but she is investing in it as well. She is very dedicated and passionate about her business... her priority is to provide exceptional service to each of her clients throughout the entire process of buying and selling real estate.
Melanie takes pride in her community and plays an active role in non-profit groups such as Kids In Dare Support (K.I.D.S.), Friends of Youth, and the Dare County Arts Council.
